George Okello Opio is the Chief Executive Officer cum Executive Director and Senior Technical Consultant for Robinson Recruitment Solutions. He plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and operational excellence of the organization. With over two decades of experience and a diverse background in finance, human resources, and organizational development, George brings a wealth of expertise to his role. He is known for his strategic vision, leadership acumen, and commitment to driving success through effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership. Under his guidance, Robinson Recruitment continues to thrive as a key player in the labour export industry, delivering exceptional service and value to clients worldwide.
Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong ability to lead and manage teams, drive organizational growth, and develop strategic plans to achieve business objectives. He has held various leadership positions, including Manager Performance Management & Organization Development at Kampala Capital City Authority, Deputy Director Administration & Human Resource at Kampala Capital City Authority, Head of Human Capital at Orient Bank Limited, and Principal Human Resource Officer at Centenary Bank.
George's expertise extends beyond traditional leadership roles, as he has completed various consultancy assignments, including HR audits, restructuring, and organizational development projects. He has also undertaken numerous short courses and training programs, enhancing his skills in strategic planning, communication, measurement, and implementation. His membership in professional bodies, such as the International Association of Applied Psychologists and the Human Resource Managers Association of Uganda, demonstrates his commitment to staying updated on industry best practices and networking with fellow professionals.
He holds an Associate Diploma in People Management from the Chartered Institute of Personal & Development (CIPD), a Master of Organizational Psychology from Makerere University, a Post-Graduate Diploma in HRM from Business Skills Trust, and a Bachelor of Arts from Makerere University.
